Close Coupled Toilets

Close Coupled Toilets are the most popular toilet and what most people would associate with a toilet with a floor standing pan and a visible ceramic cistern behind the seat attached to to pan. Close coupled toilets are called close coupled because the cistern and bowl are closely coupled together, as opposed to the old-fashioned style where the cistern was set separate to the toilet pan and attached with a flush pipe.

These are called low level toilets or high level toilet depending on the high of the cistern and the lenght of the flush pipe. These are more commonly used with more traditional suites. Close coupled toilets are used more in modern bathrooms and in more modern homes.
